Jan — foil designer at CORE, who also runs his own foil factory in Germany — gives an update on the Radix mounting system a year on from its reveal. Named after the Latin word for “root,” Radix moves the connection into the deck itself via serial-production boxes, twin plates and a tapered fit that’s tightened with nothing more than a screwdriver — no Allen keys, no searching for t-nuts. Test riders report a stiffer, more connected feel with less drag, and CORE is working with other brands to help make it an industry standard.
