The Maliko run is iconic in the paddle down winding world. There is some great footage from a POV on Josh Riccio’s OC1 here showing us the subtleties of any kind of down wind paddling, when to paddle and when not too, and aiming for where to paddle in the glides. In Josh’s words:
Scored some a really good day on the maliko run, 11/15/16 one of the better days I have had out there, I somehow managed to overshoot the harbor on my first but made it from the outside of Maliko to the harbor in 59minutes on my second run which had much lighter conditions, I left this edit long so you can see how bumps lineup and also see more variety of bumps… Enjoy
