The Katana is Shuri Araki’s signature race board, designed by the multiple ISA and ICF World Champion with his father and trainer, Takuji Araki. It has two patented features by Takuji and Shuri Araki. The Narrow Box Tail™ lifts and accelerates the board with each stroke. The Extreme Straight Hard Tail Rail Edges™ act like small side fins, giving more tracking with less reliance on the main fin. The result is a board built for the short, high-cadence stroke that has taken Shuri to 7 world titles.
