Paul Simmons from UK shares his first impressions of the new Starboard TallTwin, and why it might solve a problem a lot of surfers face: wanting high-performance surfing without giving up glide and stability.
Coming from the Longboard, which shares similar dimensions, Paul explains how the TallTwin’s rail shape and fin setup completely change the feel of the board. From his very first turn, he noticed how much further and faster the board snapped around a carve. He also talks about why this matters for surfers in places like the UK, where smaller boards are often needed for performance, but come at the cost of catching waves and balance.
