Ozone’s Pocket Rocket V2 parawing has won the Innovation of the Year award at the AWSI 2026 ceremony.

Ozone thanked its customers and partners for joining the journey so far, highlighting the teamwork behind the product from design and manufacturing to the people who guide riders on the water. Ambassadors Patrick Rebstock and Jesse Richman collected the award alongside Ozone Canada’s Sam Medysky, lead designer Dom Zimmermann and Ozone USA chief Dave Tybursky.

The Pocket Rocket V2 was praised for accessible handling that helps riders progress across upwind and downwind sessions. Ozone positions the wing as a progression-focused design intended to make parawinging performance approachable.

Real-Time Development

Ozone designs, manufactures and tests in its own facility. The company says that vertical integration, together with its experience producing paragliders and kites, allows the team to respond quickly as parawinging develops.

A Four-Wing Parawing Range

Rather than relying on one all-round design, Ozone has developed a specialised four-wing line-up covering first runs, light-wind drifting, high-speed upwind performance and compact pack-down. The fourth model, the Pocket Rocket V2 Ultra-X, was previewed at the AWSI trade show and is due to enter production soon. Explore Ozone’s complete parawing range.
