Starboard’s Pete Cox from Australia shares his first impressions of the TallTwin, Starboard’s newest addition to the quiver this year, and why it might be the most versatile board in the range.
Filmed in Bali, Pete explains the story behind the TallTwin: how last year’s TwinFin, loved by surfers everywhere, has now been merged with the Longboard SUP to create something new. The result is a board that surfs like a longboard, smooth and fluent through turns, but with the looseness and playfulness of a TwinFin.
He also talks about the Nubster fin, and how popping it in or taking it out mid session changes the feel of the board, from tight and controlled to loose and playful.
