Got a puncture or small rip in your paddleboard?

What You’ll Need

  • Hair Dryer
  • Glue and PVC patches from the repair kit
  •  Tape
  • Brush or spatula
  • Acetone
  • A cloth
  • Gloves and mask

Follow these easy steps to repair your iSUP:

1. Clean the area around the puncture with acetone
2. Dry the area carefully afterwards
3. Cut patch to approximate size to use for preparing the puncture
4. Place the patch over the puncture
5. Draw the outline of the patch using a pencil
7. Apply tape to the outline of the puncture
8. Apply glue on both board and patch
9. Using the brush or spatula, make sure the glue is spread evenly
10. Leave the glue to dry for 5 – 10 minutes
11. If the glue doesn’t stick to your glove it means it’s ready to bond
12. Place the patch on top of the puncture area
13. Use the hairdryer to gently heat the area to ensure the best bonding
14. Use the spatula to firmly press the patch removing any air bubbles that maybe there – this ensures a strong bond
15. It is recommended to put some extra weight on top of it
16. Remove the tape
17. Allow 24 hours for the glue to dry and bond properly before inflating again
