So how does this work? The foil mast plate is mounted directly onto the 2.5mm solid aluminium plate on the deck of the board, and directly beneath the riders’ feet. The foil mast then passes through an opening of the board. This means the foil and rider are directly connected and no flex can or delay in responsiveness can occur.
