It was interesting to go back to a long fuse small stab setup. It works and is likely the more efficiant option vs a medium fuse with slightly larger stab to acheive the same level of rider stability. Id have to try the second option in a similar situation to actually form an opinion but i imagine the second option being a bit more surfy and fun.
