On World Environmental Day, Starboard joins local communities and volunteers to take action for a cleaner planet. This global initiative unites millions of people worldwide with one shared mission: to fight waste, reduce plastic pollution, and protect our oceans.
Last year, Starboard supported World Cleanup Day events in Myanmar and Thailand, working closely with local teams through our Plastic Offset Program. In Napoli, Myanmar, volunteers came together to clean beaches, sort plastic waste, and raise awareness about sustainable practices and self-responsibility.
By removing trash from the shoreline, we are not only cleaning beaches — we are protecting marine life, creating safer coastal environments, and supporting long-term positive change. All collected plastic is carefully sorted, recycled where possible, and responsibly disposed of. In a country where recycling remains a challenge, reusing and reducing waste is a key focus of our efforts.
World Environmental Day is more than a single event. It’s about community, education, and lasting impact — for people and for the planet.
