TallTwin co-designer Ollie O’Reilly breaks down exactly how the newest shape in the Starboard lineup works, and how two very different boards, the Longboard and the TwinFin, were blended into one.
The TallTwin takes the nose outline and overall length of the Longboard, paired with the tail section, channel, and fin setup from the TwinFin. The result is a board that keeps the glide, nose riding ability, and small wave performance of a longboard, while gaining the looseness, speed, and fluid turns of a TwinFin.
