Be careful watching this, you’ll be hunting down info about boat trips in the Mentawai’s and reaching for that credit card before you get to the end! The Blue Planet crew discuss day 2 of their amazing boat trip off the west coast of Sumatra, it’s filled with empty, endless waves of utter perfection. We want to go there NOW!

This is the video log of the second day of the 2017 Blue Planet Mentawai Islands SUP surfing trip on the Pelagic Surf Charters boat. Our international crew included team riders from Australia, Hawaii and Costa Rica. On day two we anchored at the Macaroni’s resort where we surfed mostly at the KFC’s break, which we had to ourselves. We got some great waves on the SUP’s, did some tow ins and introduced everyone to foiling with the Go Foils. After dinner the Bintangs kept flowing and the situation got out of hand when we made the “snorkel”, a Gath helmet with GoPro extension and a snorkel beer bong. Surprisingly most of us were up again early the next morning for a morning session at “Gaybeans”, so stay posted for the Day 3 video log.
