Rou Chater sits down with Scott Harrison, ex-US Special Forces, brewery founder and kiteboarder, to talk about his military journey and how it led to brewing beer on the border of Iraq and Iran. How his time in Germany furthered his love of beer, and how kiteboarding led to the creation of the Drifter beer, a not-for-profit brew that enables less fortunate people to experience watersports. Scott’s a hero in more ways than one, and this is a truly inspirational chat that’s full of interesting stories and insights.
Scott’s brewery, Estuary Beans and Barley is based in Charleston, South Carolina, but you can get his bears all over the southeast coast of the US, the locations are expanding all the time. In 2023 Scott is expanding his distribution internationally, and it won’t be long before you are able to enjoy a Drifter beer here in the UK and further afield too. We can’t wait!
