Maui based waterman Bart de Zwart shares his impressions of the new Starboard TallTwin, tested in the 108L version, close in volume to the Longboard he compares it against.
What stood out to him most: no matter the wave size, big or small, the TallTwin kept the speed and turning feel of a much smaller board. It’s a little slower than a true small board, and the swing weight is slightly higher, but the trade off comes with real gains in turning speed and control.
