This is strangely compelling viewing! Not your average surf film it documents the Blue Planet trip to the Mentawai Islands last year in April. Filled with stunning locations and amazing riders the film looks at how the crew and riders enjoyed the waves, the travel experiences and the overall vibe of the trip. This footage is all from Day 1, which makes you wonder what the rest of the series will be like. It also features a ridiculously small board, the 7’3″ x 23″ with a mere 62 litres of volume! It’s worth a watch just to see Ty Judson ride it!
Join the Blue Planet team on their Mentawai Boat trip with a series of daily logs of the trip held in April 2016. Also on board was the Pelagic Surf Charters crew that took great care of us. This episode covers traveling to Padang, Indonesia and the first day of the trip, after motoring overnight, we arrived at Lance’s Left before sunrise and scored nice waves all day while a few of us took lickings on the shallow reef.
